Time spent with Andy on Skomer in 2011 resulted in a promise to return, and with help from Laura, Lucy, Matthew and their partners we kept the promise.
This time a month later with the intent to capture the wild flowers that cover Skomer and to witness what we thought would be the 'easy to capture sand eel shot'… well the first came true the flowers were amazing and even thought the blue bells were past their best the colour was still very impressive.

So to the simple act of capturing a puffin with sand eel, not sure Andy had warned us of how challenging this would be, whilst a puffin will stand and pose for as many shots as a memory card can record, with food in mouth clearly posing was the last thing on the puffin's mind as it flew at break neck speed, landed and taxied at an equally impressive rate to the welcoming protection of the burrow - the chance of capturing the image was clearly going to be a real challenge which Karen was successful in - as for me… Andy see you next year...
Thank you for another great day.
Best wishes
