I joined Andy's day trip to this National Trust estate in the southern part of Pembrokeshire at very short notice due to other trips/plans being cancelled at the last minute. The reserve provides a good range of subjects for different types of photography; be it animals (otters, swans, heron), landscape and macro subjects such as wild flowers.
Not all wildlife can be relied on, and we were lucky to see a pair of otters for a good half an hour giving plenty of time to get some shots from a great vantage point. But there is a lot of areas that can be covered and it was very nice to be able to pick and choose the day's activities based on what we wanted to get the most out of it. |
Andy's local knowledge combined with tips on composition, reacting with your camera to fast moving subjects and getting the most out of low-light conditions were invaluable.
