It was a very sunny day with not a cloud in the sky, which wasn’t the best scenario for landscape photography, but Skomer was stunning with huge swathes of pink campion and bluebells carpeting the Island. When we arrived on the Island, Andy explained the basic camera settings and how to hold the camera correctly. Our group had a variety of cameras from DSLRS to compacts and we were of varying skill levels, but Andy was able to cater for all. As we moved over the Island, Andy showed us the best locations for landscape photographs and explained the techniques required.

When we arrived at the Wick, where the puffins were in great numbers, he advised us on how to compose the photos and camera settings for capturing the birds in flight. He was always on hand to answer any questions and to make sure that we were all getting satisfactory results.
Many thanks Andy for being a patient and knowledgeable tutor and guide. We had a great time and want to go back next year! |
