I had a great day with Andy, despite the diminished puffin numbers. The day began with Andy explaining the fundamentals of photography, the aim being that armed with this knowledge you can figure out for yourself how to create the image you want. We then progressed to thinking about composition, and taking lots of shots as we walked around the island.

Not only was Andy's enthusiasm for photography infectious, but his knowledge of the island's history, geology and ecology was fascinating."
